I am the Assistant Director at CFK, which includes many hats. I have been working at CFK for more than ten years now, but was a parent of children enrolled at CFK for five years prior to that. The most enjoyable thing that I am able to do is visit classrooms and helps the teachers with the children. The children brighten our days beyond measure, and I count it a true blessing and privilege to work at CFK. I also assist in many of the business responsibilities here at CFK, including budgeting, accounts payable and payroll. I oversee the day-to-day operations, making sure that our classrooms are within ratios and that we are maintaining the State Licensing rules and regulations. I really enjoy seeing wild animals in their natural settings, yes, from the front seat of my car of course! I enjoy fishing, camping, scrapbooking and watching the Green Bay Packers. I have a wonderful husband, Kevin, and two children, Justin and Shawn. We have two dogs, one cat and a pond with seven fish - not to mention the pets that my boys have. My favorite poem is “Footprints.” I think because it really speaks of our relationship with the Lord. Many times in scripture the Lord reminds us that He is with us always, that the road may not always be easy, but that He would always be there with us. In “Footprints,” the writer talks about walking with the Lord, seeing her life pass before her, seeing the good times and the tough times, seeing only one set of footprints in the sand during her most trying or difficult times. She asks the Lord, “Why is there only one set of footprints during the difficult times?” The Lord replies, “My child, when you see only one set of footprints, which is when I carried you.” I am so thankful that the Lord keeps His promises and that we not only have Him to rejoice with in good times, but He carries us through our tough times, giving us His peace and strength to endure the situations we are facing. I’m not sure how I would have been able to get through those times if I did not have the Lord to rely on. |
